Set in 250 acres of landscaped gardens that were originally laid out by Capability Brown, the 18-hole championship course at Luton Hoo Golf Hotel provides a stiff test of golf. Water comes in to play on three of the holes and good course managment is vital to score well here.

The par 4 3rd is typical; with two lakes next to the narrow landing area you have a choice do you play it safe and pull up short to have a long carry over the water or do you try to send it clean over the water to the landing area 270 yards away or can you place your ball on the strip of fairway in between? Whatever you choose you’re sure to find it an interesting challenge.

The tees and greens at Luton Hoo are all designed to USGA standards and the mansion house hotel provides a great place to relax after your round.
