Good concentration, patience, and informed club choice will stand you in good stead here at Oakland Park, as it is not the longest course – measuring only 5246 yards over eighteen holes – but has plenty to keep you thinking. If you use a wood from each tee, you are going to cause yourself major problems every time so instead take the time to step back, assess the hole and consider carefully which club is best suited to it.

The course is made to feel a lot more compact than it really is with trees lining the fairways, and this has caught out plenty of players in the past. The greens are exceptional and have a few breaks to make putting a little less straightforward than usual.
